GIVS (Goodwill Industries Volunteer Services) GIVS is the name of Goodwill’s volunteer organization … an organization of men, women and children who are interested in giving their time and talents to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. When you fill out an application to join GIVS, you’ll be signed up to receive post-card notification when a volunteer need arises within Goodwill. Primarily, these opportunities include social events that are thrown for Goodwill clients every four to six weeks to help them build social skills and a peer base. Other volunteer opportunities include assisting in one of our 15 retail stores, assisting with administrative tasks at our main office, and chaperoning outings and activities in our Day Services Program (DSP).
