Summer heat is here, and so are its hottest trends. With the impact of Coronavirus this year, we are all looking to stay cool and be comfy. Staying in most days, and for many, working from home, the initial lust of sweats, shorts, and leggings has worn off. People are looking to dress and feel a little more polished without compromising their comfort. Queue the house dress. A trend that gained popularity in the 1920’s has made its comeback. The house dress is a perfect solution for almost any occasion. Having a staple dress in your wardrobe to style up or down is a must. We particularly like t-shirt style dresses due to their versatility.

Keep it Casual

One of my favorite ways to wear a t-shirt dress is with bike shorts and athletic shoes. This is great to wear at home if you are balancing house cleaning, chasing the kid who ran off with spaghetti hands, and then dashing out the door to run that errand you forgot about three days ago.

Step this casual look up a notch by swapping for stylish sneakers and a cute ball cap. This is great for a day at the park with the kiddos or a back-yard barbeque.

A t-shirt dress always looks cute with sandals and some accessories. Take this look from day to night by switching out your shoulder bag from work for a cute clutch.

Home Office or In Office

For the person who is ALWAYS cold, no worries. Grab a cardigan before that Zoom meeting starts, you could be sitting there for a while. Before you know it, you will be cold and irritated that you set up shop next to the air vent…

To turn this dress into a more office friendly look, just toss on a blazer and pumps. You will be out the door in no time and ready for that 8:00 AM meeting.

For only $7.99 you can add a t-shirt dress to your closet by shopping at your local Goodwill store. 80 cents of every dollar goes back into the funding of our mission programs.
