A Donation Center provides a hassle-free way to donate your items without having to visit any of our retail locations. When you arrive at our donation center, a friendly Goodwill attendant will greet you and help accept your donations so you can save time and go about your day.
This location is for donations only. It is not a retail location, and customers are only permitted to donate their items in the front lobby. Donations are accepted at the front of the building.
What Items Are Accepted at the Donation Center?
We will accept any items that you would take to a retail donation site. Unfortunately, we cannot accept furniture donations at this location, but they can be accepted at any of our retail locations.

Where Do My Donations Go?
Items donated to the Altoona Donation Center are transported to our headquarters in Johnston, where they are redistributed to Goodwill stores based on inventory needs. The items sold in our stores help fund our programs that teach central Iowans skills to overcome barriers to employment and find purposeful work.
