On Feb. 13, Goodwill of Central Iowa joined Prairie Ridge Church in Ankeny to present “A Night to Shine,” a prom event for people with special needs and disabilities. The dance, made possible by a grant from the Tim Tebow Foundation, was the only one of its kind in Iowa, and one of just 41 in the nation.
Thirty-three of our clients attended “A Night to Shine,” which included a red carpet entrance and friendly “paparazzi,” along with assigned hosts, flowers, professional photography, refreshments, dancing, games and more. Photos shown here are by Goodwill staff and The Des Moines Register.
