“Cory has been with Goodwill’s Day Services Program for almost two years. He came to us very shy of the large group, as many others are. He was wary of trying new things but agreed to work on goals to get together with peers and participate in the program. In the past few months he has begun to show more initiative, doing things on his own without needing as much encouragement as he had in the past. He has earned his recognition by trying the things that he once would have refused. His smile when he tries and succeeds is worth the effort the staff put in to help him get started.
