Goodwill of Central Iowa continues to grow with significant additions to its leadership team. Ann Shelton joins the organization as chief financial officer, Eric Prosperi as director of commercial services and Justin Ruegg as human resources director.

In the role of CFO, Ann Shelton is at the heart of the mission by providing leadership and oversight for finance, IT and administrative functions. Her position develops and guides strategic direction, tactical plans and leadership of the agency. Her previous experience includes financial executive positions with HomeServices of Iowa, Wells Fargo, Mid-America Group and Principal Financial Group. 

Eric Prosperi joins Goodwill in a new position for the organization as director of commercial services. He is responsible for leading this division with the goal to promote and expand the company’s commercial activity. He provides oversight of existing business lines including light assembly contracts and will lead development of new business lines, helping to diversify revenue and align with mission priorities of skills training and employability for participants served. He joins this role following a tenured career in sales with Kellogg’s. 

Justin Ruegg is the newest addition as the human resources director, supporting the overall business plan, specifically in areas of talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, succession planning, training and development, benefits and compensation. He was most recently the director of human resources at the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School and has held previous positions with University of Northern Iowa as well as Rockwell Automation. 

Shelton, Prosperi and Ruegg’s roles include serving on the organization’s leadership team alongside Jackie Norris, president and CEO, Alison Cate, director of marketing and development, Beth Hanson, retail director, Dave Parr, vice president of operations, and Katherine Riley Harrington, director of mission services.

In addition to these staffing updates, the Goodwill of Central Iowa has new executives joining its operating Board of Directors including Melissa Clarke-Wharff (Courage League Sports), Siobhan Harman (Kum & Go), Libby Jacobs (The Jacobs Group, LLC), Kris Jensen (KTJ Consulting) and Kevin Kacere (Insta-Pro International). Joining the Goodwill Foundation Board is Alissa McKinney (Blank Children’s Hospital), and Don Schoen (BettrLife) will serve on both boards. Cliff Findlay (KPMG) has previously served on the foundation board but was elected to serve on the operating board as well moving forward.
