Our conference rooms support our mission
Goodwill of Central Iowa, located right off I80 in Johnston, opens its doors to the community. Whether it’s a corporate meeting, a company retreat or a non-profit gathering, our state-of-the-art conference rooms are available for use as an opportunity to support our mission. Revenue from our room rentals provides paid job training opportunities to people with barriers entering the workforce.

Rentals are available from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. After hours rates apply for events held from 5 – 10 p.m. Breakfast meetings prior to 8 a.m. are scheduled according to staff availability. Please reach out to confirm.
Amenities – All-Inclusive Experience
Our conference room experience is one-of-a-kind. We provide full custom room set-up and tear down, janitorial services, and best of all, on-site catering services provided by our Food Skills Program job trainees. Your catering orders directly provide them paid training as they work toward their ServSafe Food Service Certifications.

Technology
Our conference rooms are equipped with in-wall touch panel controls running projection systems with audio connections, two lapel microphones and two hand-held wireless microphones that can be used simultaneously. High speed wi-fi is available and our on-site technology team will work with you to customize your needs. We supply HDMI cables but do ask that you bring any necessary adapters for your equipment.
Catering
From an afternoon snack to a four-course meal, our on-site catering staff from the Smilin’ G Cafe will work with you to plan your event menu. Catering orders provide real-world training opportunities for individuals with barriers seeking future employment in the food service industry.
Under the direction of the culinary and catering manager, Chef Joe Cross, trainees learn food preparation, customer service, cash register, safety and sanitation skills.
