The Connect with Employers Job Expo ’16 at DMACC Southridge on April 14 was a great success! Several of our job coaches and employment specialists attended to meet and talk with participants.
The event was a collaboration between Goodwill of Central Iowa and DMACC’s Workforce Training Academy, which uses classes and resources to prepare people for local careers in business, manufacturing, health care and transportation.
At the Job Expo, a panel of four hiring professionals gave tips on preparing for interviews and filling out applications. Between 75 and 80 job seekers attended, and about 15 employers attended.
