Goodwill of Central Iowa, an area leader in helping people find employment, has changed its mission statement and organizational values to reflect the work it does. The change, approved by the organization’s board of directors, comes at a record-setting time for the organization.
President Marlyn McKeen said the new mission statement more clearly states Goodwill’s goal: to help people find jobs.
“The new mission statement is a result of our recent strategic planning session,” he said. “We wanted to evaluate who we are – and simplify our message.” I’m pleased with the results of that process.”
He added that the new organizational values are easier to understand.
