Goodwill is kicking off our annual Goodwill Sale with Younkers stores this Thursday, March 12, at Valley West Mall in West Des Moines. We’ll accept donations there from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring a bag of donated clothing or footwear and receive a Younkers coupon worth 25 percent off a single regular or sale priced item for EACH ITEM you donate!
It’s a great deal for shoppers and a great way to help us turn donations into jobs. Goodwill sells your donations in more than 3,000 retail stores across the country. Goodwill generates opportunities for people to achieve economic stability and build strong families and vibrant communities by offering job training programs, employment placement services and other community-based programs. We help people who have disabilities, those who lack education or job experience and others facing employment challenges.
At the most recent Stuff the Truck Event we held in September 2014, we collected about 4,400 pounds of clothing.
