Goodwill of Central Iowa

We provide a learning plan for community members with intellectual disabilities and co-occurring mental health disorders. We focus on socialization, community integration, and behaviors that promote independent living skills. This program empowers individuals to gain independence and confidence and build community.

Skills Training Programs at Goodwill of Central Iowa focus on developing skills for success in the workplace. Most importantly, they focus on an individual’s growth, inspiring confidence in their ability to be successful.

Together, we navigate the job application and interview process. Then, we’ll provide on-site support to accomplish goals in any workplace.

By donating and shopping at Goodwill of Central Iowa, you’re helping to keep items out of our local landfills. Each item donated to Goodwill enters the “lifecycle of a donation” – where we take multiple steps to ensure each item is given a chance at a second life.
