Donating to Goodwill is a convenient way to make space in your home. Donate at any of our 13 retail locations during business hours. We know that these items are brought to us as the mark of a beginning or an end of a new chapter, they represent memories, or have been a constant reminder of the errand you’ve been meaning to run for a while now. No matter the case, we work to be exceptional stewards of your donation, making the most of it, finding it a new home, keeping it out of the landfill and turning it into an opportunity for purposeful employment.

What to know before donating to Goodwill of Central Iowa:
- Please, remove all hangers from clothing items.
- We’re here to help unload. Let us know if you’d like assistance!
- You’ll be given a receipt for tax purposes. (Or you can fill out a Digital Donation Receipt)
- Worried that your items aren’t worth reusing? Items that can’t be resold in our stores may be able to sell at our Outlet. Other items can be recycled or salvaged, thus kept out of local landfills. Please visit our electronic waste and textile recycling pages for more information.
- We do not offer donation pick-up, but we can help you get connected with an organization to assist in item pick-up and transportation.
