This week, our Southridge Career Connection Center employees gave a crash course on resumes and interviewing for jobs to a group of college-aged students visiting from Mexico.
Employment Specialists Kathy Roat and Alicia Moisa worked on Wednesday and Thursday with 20 students from Guadalajara, Mexico, who were here for one week with the Iowa International Center to learn about American businesses.
Roat and Moisa presented half-day seminars on resume writing and interviewing techniques at DMACC Southridge. Roat said the students were particularly interested in internships with U.S. companies or U.S.-based companies.
“It was a fabulous group,” Roat said. “We were really happy to have such a large class, and a partnership thatallowed us to share business success opportunities.”
