Stuart Kennedy’s initiative and drive to excel are paying off.

Stuart, known for his wide smile and brimming enthusiasm, joined the Goodwill Outlet store team last summer after completing a Supported Employment Program and working at the Jordan Creek store.

Stuart’s job coach, William Berning, pushed to promote Stuart because of his potential and his track record.

“Stuart is on task, he focuses on the job and he has the drive to do the next thing,” William says.

Stuart likes the fast pace of his job. He unloads and sorts merchandise in the portable bins, empties them and then relegates unsold items to containers. He’s also responsible for making store announcements, maintaining the back room, loading and unloading Goodwill trucks and cleaning and organizing areas on the sales floor.

“Stuart does an awesome job with making everyone feel welcome, and by doing so is able to provide great customer service,” Berning says. “Stuart’s upbeat personality is very contagious. I believe it’s his personal goal to make others laugh and to be excited while at Goodwill. He has an amazing drive and determination.”

Outlet store manager Kim Rummelhart also praises Stuart.

“Stuart is a real motivator,” she says. “He’s in a good mood all the time and he does a great job. We are very happy to have him.”
